A bit about me

After having a few different caravans, we found it was becoming extremely difficult to get a service, when we wanted it. As most of ours were out of warranty you always needed to have booked a year ahead, if they could fit you in, hence I did the courses and set up to help alleviate the situation.

Having worked for BT and then in a service environment, it was time to branch out and do something I enjoyed, having tinkered with our caravans since 2009. I have taken courses at MCEA, Reich Motor Movers, Gaslow (refillable LPG Canisters) and ACOPS Gas Safety. I still have training to complete but as I am now very 'Part Time' I allow other engineers in the Association to get certified on systems installed in newer caravans, as it is their main income, rather than part timers like myself, which I can live with. This in no way means I do not have experience on the systems as have technical support documentation on most things.

I have had to stop doing checks on Motorhomes and Campervans due to issues with small spaces which manufacturers seem to love creating and I can longer get into.

P.S. my wife says I can do your repair or service but beware at the end as will be another hour chatting about caravans/life which never gets charged and demonstrations of how to get the best from the appliances for newcomers. Loving your job is part of the beauty.
